How can I become rich? Really?
Have you ever heard the saying that money is the root of all evil? I don’t believe this one bit - money isn’t evil. You can do as much good as you can bad with money. I love money and you should too. Money does not care how old you are, who you’re parents are, what you do in your spare time, if you are good looking. Money has no prejudice or thought; it is an idea. The paper bill you hold in your hand is just a piece of paper but it symbolizes the idea of money.
So if money is just an idea how do we obtain mass amounts of it and become wealthy? The answer is simple; want it more than anyone else and work hard for it. I hear people all the time say that they wish they were a billionaire but the truth is that they are all full of it. If you truly wish or want something you have to go after it with all your heart. I am not an advocate of luck when it comes to money. I hear all the time people saying, “Wow that guy is lucky to be that rich.” Nope, luck has nothing to do with it, it comes down to hard work and wanting it more. Now there are some people that fall into money through the lottery or inheritance. These people are not truly wealthy because they have not learned the principals or money. The saying “A fool and his money are soon parted” is absolutely correct. Soon after these people arrive in the presence of money it is parted from them and floats away to someone that wants it more.
Is Wayne Gretzky the best hockey player because he is lucky? Obviously not! He practiced more than anyone, got up at 5am for practice, worked and trained very hard, harder than anyone else. If you truly want to be good at anything, especially accumulating wealth, than you must have to work at it harder than anyone else. Don’t turn around when there are set backs, just keep plugging along. If Wayne Gretzky had quit hockey the first time he fell on his skates, would he have made it as far as he did?
The harder we work for money and the more we face adversary the better chance we have of accumulating it. Sorry if you were looking for some get rich quick answer or program. Just remember studying and learning about wealth creating is just the first step, doing it is what will make you truly rich.
